Hello again welcome to Khmer Community,
It has been a long time since I was able to update the website. Recently I just got back from my trip to Cambodia with my family and friends. It was a great trip, I got a chance to meet a lot of relative that I have not seen in a very long time. The weather and foods were great and thankfully no one got badly sick this time around. This was my third trip to Cambodia and as always our time there was too short. I wish we could of stay a little longer maybe next time. There are still many places in Cambodia that I have not visited yet.
Before we left we took the opportunity to visit one of the children orphanage center in Phnom Penh city. Located in an old church there lay an orphanage center. Here is where many of the children are given another chance to life with the aid of teachers and care taker to guide them.
With the money that was raised in Canada with everyone contribution we were able to purchase some essentials items such as rice, soy sauce, noodles and washing soaps for the children. Without the helping hands of some family member back in Canada, this would have not been possible.
I would like to express many thanks for their great generosity in donation. We have raised about $500 in total. It is a great start to help those that are less fortunate than us. In the years to come I hope we are able to help out even greater.
